The essay

Rahul Jauhari, Managing Partner, writes about the lack of sense in how businesses seem to be using AI.

Dear Rahul, you have been nominated for our 30 under 30 awards.”

A few weeks back I received this message in my LinkedIn inbox, which went on to elaborate how I had been selected to be in haloed company. While I wish to take away nothing from the others in the shortlist, the person writing to me seemed to be completely oblivious to the fact that I will be old enough to claim 30 years of work experience in August this year. Which means my age is already upwards of fifty years. Something that is evident from my profile.

A young gun, who I often turn to when faced with such ungodly occurrences, explained to me that this is mostly thanks to some kind of AI automation. Which possibly also explains why I am bombarded with messages of two kinds:

1: Those who offer to generate ‘massive leads’ for our consulting firm Flibbr® Consulting – upwards of 60 in a week/month.

2: Those who offer us various kinds of automation that will streamline our workflow and increase our productivity.

Not a single one of the misguided souls writing to me took the pain to read my profile. Those who claim to have been ‘deeply impressed’ by our website clearly did not understand jack about what we do or how we do it.

Either the good folk writing to me do not know what they are doing. Or it is their employers who have no idea what’s going on.

As someone recently said to me: AI amplifies the crap you feed it. Massively.

If you are an entrepreneur or founder struggling with sanity in this confounding age of AI, you may find some answers in the first edition of the Flibbr® Brand Intelligence Bootcamp, coming next month to Bengaluru.

While we will focus on how to build a sharp, clear, differentiated brand in today’s times, we will also talk about how to use AI sensibly for your business. In a way it actually helps you meet your ambitions.

Over 2.5 days, under the guidance of the best brains in the industry.

We plan to have a cosy cohort, so seats will be limited. Mail me at rahul@flibbrconsulting.com me if you are interested in an invite, and my team will reach out to you in the coming few days.
